Happy Birthday to my sister!
Hello crafters! Hope everyone is staying warm in the midst of all these freezing cold temperatures! Brrr!! Nothing to do but stay inside and craft right? lol. Well I have been making some cards over the past few days. Today's card is a birthday card for my sister. I used the new Cricut Create a Friend cartridge as well as the Cricut Best Images of 2006 cartridge for this card. It is an easel card (which is one of my favorite cards to make!) and I used various papers from my stash as well as some googly eyes for the dog! My sister has a sweet dog named Rocky so I decided to create a card for her depicting her taking Rocky out for a walk! (That little doggy is too cute and it looks just like Rocky!) I'll be posting some Valentine's Day cards in my next post!

Happy 2014!!
Hello crafters!
Hope everyone had a wonderful time with your families and friends for the holidays! I thought I would share some of my Christmas card creations I made for my family and friends! First up is a card I made for my dad...Oh Christmas Tree! I used the Christmas tree from the Cricut Doodlecharms cartridge along with some buttons I found at Hobby Lobby (for the toys and snowflakes!), some white glitter paper for the snow, and snowflake paper from the DCWV "Arctic Wishes" stack. I used a CardzTV stamp from the stamp set, "Very Merry". The next 2 cards were for my mom and my sister. For those cards, I used the Winter Frolic cartridge for the little girls, some holly buttons, ribbon/bows from my stash and Christmas papers from Michaels's Recollections, Bo Bunny and DCWV paper pads. And finally, a cute snowman from the Cricut Doodlecharms cartridge. Again, I used some snowflake papers from the DCWV "Arctic Wishes" paper pad, some white glitter paper for the snow and buttons for the snowflakes! Oh and some googly eyes too!

My Number Munchers Gang!
Hello crafters! Hope everyone has been having a great week. Summer vacation for me is coming to a close and I'll be heading back to school next week. Time to get back into the mind set of lesson planning, and getting up at 5am! lol. When it's time to go back, I usually like to do something for the gals on my team to welcome everybody back. I had been planning on making some "Number Munchers" for myself to use with my kiddos for math and then decided to make one for each girl on my team. So, I went to Dollar Tree and found these little plastic garbage cans. I used some googly eyes, lace and trim, and some curly ribbon to make the hair. I found some self stick foam numbers from Michaels and added those as well. You can do lots of math practice with these munchers, for example, show a number and have the student feed that many items/counters/manipulatives to the muncher. For addition practice, you can tell your students the muncher is only eating sums to 8 today, etc. Can't wait to bring these guys to school next week! :)
CardzTV Go-To Galz Linky Party Challenge- Pop It Up or Make it Wiggle!
Hello crafters! Here is my submission for the CardzTV Linky Party Challenge- Pop it Up or Make it Wiggle! It is a birthday easel card, using the Cricut Create a Critter 2 cartridge. Aren't those critter friends super cute?! I popped up both the elephant and the bird with pop dots as well as the clouds. I used various patterned papers and embellishments from my stash, the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder for the clouds and a Fiskars border punch. I just love the images from Create a Critter and Create a Critter 2 cartridges..2 of my favorites! Good luck to everyone participating in the challenge..it's so much fun to see everyone's creations!

I used some Martha Stewart patterned paper, as well as some other paper and embellishments from my stash. The greeting comes from the Scrappy Mom's stamp set, "Bear Necessities". She was so much fun to put together and decorate! Have a great weekend!

Cardz TV Challenge: Back To School!
Hello Crafters!! Been away from crafting for a week as I was visiting my sister and family. Had such a nice time! Feels good to get back into the crafting mode and blogging! For the Cardz TV challenge, I created a scrapbook page, which is actually a page from a scrapbook of my nephew from birth to high school graduation. It's a gift for my sister. :) I used the Cricut Lite cartridge, Recess, for all of the cuts for this layout and some embellishments from Michaels. I also used the DCWV paper pad, Grade School. I had so much fun putting this layout together!
