My Number Munchers Gang!

Hello crafters! Hope everyone has been having a great week. Summer vacation for me is coming to a close and I'll be heading back to school next week. Time to get back into the mind set of lesson planning, and getting up at 5am! lol. When it's time to go back, I usually like to do something for the gals on my team to welcome everybody back. I had been planning on making some "Number Munchers" for myself to use with my kiddos for math and then decided to make one for each girl on my team. So, I went to Dollar Tree and found these little plastic garbage cans. I used some googly eyes, lace and trim, and some curly ribbon to make the hair. I found some self stick foam numbers from Michaels and added those as well. You can do lots of math practice with these munchers, for example, show a number and have the student feed that many items/counters/manipulatives to the muncher.  For addition practice, you can tell your students the muncher is only eating sums to 8 today, etc. Can't wait to bring these guys to school next week! :)

I used various patterned papers and embellishments from my stash, the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder for the clouds and a Fiskars border punch. I just love the images from Create a Critter and Create a Critter 2 cartridges..2 of my favorites! Cardz TV Challenge: Back To School!

Hello Crafters!! Been away from crafting for a week as I was visiting my sister and family. Had such a nice time! Feels good to get back into the crafting mode and blogging! For the Cardz TV challenge, I created a scrapbook page, which is actually a page from a scrapbook of my nephew from birth to high school graduation. It's a gift for my sister. :) I used the Cricut Lite cartridge, Recess, for all of the cuts for this layout and some embellishments from Michaels. I also used the DCWV paper pad, Grade School. I had so much fun putting this layout together!

Happy Birthday Card For My Mom!

Hello crafters! Hope you all are having a great start to your week. It's certainly has been hot here the last couple of days so spending time inside crafting! lol.  My card for today is a birthday card I made for my mother. I used the same patterned paper as I did for the purse mini album that I made for her as well. This cute little girl and poodle is cut from the Cricut Once Upon a Princess cartridge. I used embellishments I had in my stash to decorate the rest of the card, a Martha Stewart edge punch and stamped it with a Scrappy Mom's stamp.

Purse Mini-Album- For my Mom's Birthday!

Hi everyone!
I made this purse mini-album for my mother for her birthday which is this week! Inside I included a wallet, a compact, cell phone, a passport (she's traveled to many countries with my dad over the years!),  sunglasses, key with key chain, and a lipstick. Each item in the purse has pictures of my family, even my sister's dog, Rocky! Some pictures are dated back to my childhood and some are recent. I used the Paisley Cricut cartridge to cut out the purse and items inside. I also used Laura Denison's accordion pocket binding for this mini album. (Thank you Laura for this awesome idea!) I used patterned paper, chipboard, rosette trim and braiding trim, pearl embellishments, button and butterfly embellishments from Michaels (Recollections), a butterfly charm from Walmart and a closure from Hobby Lobby. This was so much fun to put together and I'm really happy with the way it turned out. (This is my first mini album so I was a little nervous!) lol.
